Edit: I just realised the title of this post is just so wrong.
If I had remembered that the supply to my block would be temporarily stopped at 10pm, I would have gone home long ago. But I didn’t. Which led to a 5-minute scramble to shower and wash my face and brush my teeth once I came home. Luckily, the supply wasn’t cut yet.
What was supposed to be an early dinner at 5+ became well, a ‘normal’ dinner as Weiqiang finally made it to an outing! Woohoo! Give that man a beer! It’s been many, many outings since he last turned up and we’re all glad he’s here. We were so glad, we didn’t mind waiting 45-minutes for him to turn up. Well done, guys. The occasion was a belated birthday celebration for Clarence (actually just an excuse to meet up) and we had dinner at Sakura Cuisine Halal Thai Restaurant. Something like that.
The food wasn’t too bad, though it wasn’t excellent either. There was lots of salt in the vegetables, but then again there were lots of oysters in the omelette and kang kong. =) Today we also found out that Kin Wee never knew that there were mock scallops around. He always thought that those fried 30-cents scallops sold in school canteens were the real thing. Such a poor thing! Haha. The chicken wrapped in pandan leaf was nice though very oily, while the tom yam soup had a liberal amount of chilli oil in it. Seriously, why put so much chilli oil!? Everyone’s stomachs went a bit weird because of the soup.
We walked around for a while, and took a visit to the MUFC Store, before Clarence and Junyang left for hall. The rest of us went to play pool, and played enough to determine The Ultimate Loser, Wong Kin Wee! Haha, it’s damn sad how it’s always him. Sorry, man. Incidentally, the only two times I “won”, I did so because Weiqiang and Jiahao pocketed the 8-ball. Man, I suck at pool.
There are still a lot of places to go before Rensheng goes back to Australia. Sentosa next Saturday perhaps, inclusive of Dragongate Dim Sum buffet lunch and another supper outing to Chomp Chomp. Endurance rocks!
