Close friends. A pretty elusive category of friends, rather sadly. Not to say I don’t have close friends, because I do have a lot of them. But at this stage of my life, getting to know people better just seems more difficult. And it’s not for a lack of wanting. Rather, it seems everyone’s older [...]

Best Buddies

I’ve never really been comfortable with group dynamics. I’m just not that good at it. I’m the kind of guy who would rather hang out and get to know a person individually, than to partake in group outings. Not to say that such group bonds are superficial, because they definitely aren’t, but you do have [...]
Two Oh Oh Six

2006 has been eventful, and I’ve been thinking quite a bit about life.
I guess that’s the least the death of two young people in your life can do.
Lena Cheo of course is the closer one. I still remember the phone conversation with my Aunt (Wee-what I can’t remember because I always mix her up with [...]
Haha, had an absolutely great time with the guys. Plans to hang out in the afternoon was scrapped because dear Junyang was coming home late from a friend’s Christmas party. And so were plans to eat at Chomp Chomp — it was raining damn it. And of course since it rained, people started asking me [...]
The Horror

I lost to Ernie Chong Yue-En in pool. That’s how sad lah. It’s not that I’m good, it’s just that he’s that bad. And I am officially the second person he has beaten his whole life. The horror!
Had a hell of a time during the weekend, Saturday for the post-Opens potluck dinner when I nearly [...]
Edit: I just realised the title of this post is just so wrong.
If I had remembered that the supply to my block would be temporarily stopped at 10pm, I would have gone home long ago. But I didn’t. Which led to a 5-minute scramble to shower and wash my face and brush my teeth once [...]
Happy new year!
My sleeping late nights the past few days were all in preperation for this day — Cindy’s birthday party! Or rather, staying overnight and playing games all night long. At first, I was pissed man, because I was duped into reaching White Sands at 6.15pm, anticipating to meet Junyang and Kin Wee there who I thought would be late. Yeah, they were, but those asses didn’t take public transport but instead hitched a ride from Jiahao. Sian lah, at least tell me I’m alone lah. Wa lau, White Sands ain’t big, can?
2005 in Retrospect

Yeah, I named this post so that it sounded real profound and all. But I guess I need to wrap the year up. After all it’s the year when I ORD!
Christmas was boring. Well, just like any other day if you ask me. After all, I don’t celebrate Christmas. Funny though that no one invited me to some church service or something. Oh well.
Was at home most of the day, except I went to my uncle’s place for lunch this morning, and was at Junyang’s [...]
What can I say? I’m destined to be the earliest for everything. Must be karma — retribution for being late all the time during those Presby days. I reached Clarke Quay MRT station 10 minutes late, and on purpose, but still I was a good 10 minutes than the next person, Kin Wee. And the rest didn’t actually rush down. =) Anyway, Weiyang came down! I’ve never seen him since those Presby days. And the man himself Rensheng came back home with a frigging nice goatee.
