Spent yesterday at Yuki’s place. Haha. Bunch of bored people with absolutely nothing to do. I mean, I took a 40-minute bus ride in the hot afternoon sun, while Jialing did the same for a what, 1-hour ride?! Haha. Yuki, Jialing and I played Monopoly first, since we had to wait for Jingyang to arrive before we could start Mahjong anyway. And like many Monopoly games, the winner was the one who managed to get the hotels, and only Jialing had a complete set of land. So she won. Haha. Yuki and I conspired to play Scrabble and the screw the blue hell out of Jialing =), but then Jingyang arrived, so it was up for some Mahjong!
It was just as well that we didn’t gamble, since none of us had the expertise to count the winnings. Haha. Also, Jialing kept winning. It was really irritating. Haha. Managed to complete 东 and 南, but we did it very slowly. Jialing was teh obvious winner, although I think I would also have made a profit. Every time Jialing won one round, the urge to switch to Scrabble grew. =)
So it was left to cards in a bid to end Jialing’s dominance, as we gambled! Not a good omen for me, but what the hell. I had a bad start at dai dee, and after a pathetic 2 rounds we switched to blackjack and things were better! Well, for a while. I managed to recoup my losses, but I lost about $2 in the end. I mean, four people playing, of course it was going to be volatile. I still have not had a single blackjack yet. Irritating.
Wrapped up the day with dinner at Lot 1. Not exactly nice memories. =) Haha, was too late for a late-night movie, so we left after dinner. I realised too late that Jingyang wouldn’t know the way back to Yuki’s place, but he managed to find the way to KJE so I guess all’s fine. =)
