I just realised my earphones are just about useless. For three reasons in particular.
- My discman’s rechargeable batteries cannot be recharged, because the pin of my adaptor has corroded, and i refuse to use normal batteries in the interim.
- My laptop, as of yesterday, for some reason will not play any sound (apart from system sounds.) I still have no idea why the system can’t detect a sound driver when everything’s been fine all along. Worse, my firewire port is as good as spoilt, and so I can’t even plug in my external DVD-ROM and use my recovery disk to see if it works. If anything, I’m just glad I managed to finish Hana yori Dango 2 Returns before the sound went of. =) If not, I would have been damn pissed.
- My 3-month old Nokia 5300 XpressMusic phone, apart from the crack on the screen which I really have no idea where it came from (I did not drop it!), now has some problem with the speaker. Probably a loose wire somewhere, such that sometimes there’s sound coming out of it, sometimes there aren’t. And because I can’t risk having my alarm work but without sound (as has happened once already), I’m switching to my old phone for now.
I can’t fix any of these, or rather I’m not going to fix them until Week 16 when my exams end. Which means Week 16 will be a very busy week for me, as busy as it will be for the next 3 weeks. Well done, Fang Wei. Just hope the plug on your earphones don’t corrode in the next month.
