Of Layouts and Throwing

Yesterday I made 5 layouts in like 3 games. I caught one disc, missed another, and successfully made 2 out of 3 layout Ds. I think so lah, can’t remember. Haha. Was really psyched up yesterday, and with the really water-logged Sengkang field, every time I saw a chance that a layout should be made, I just went horizontal, fully-stretched. The first one was a D attempt that I barely missed, but the next one I got it. Haha. Quite surprisingly for a person like me, whose lack of stamina always got me punished on defence. But yeah, it felt great. =) The one (or rather five) bad things though, was that every single time I went for a layout, somehow I would end up landing on a water puddle. And my white cotton tshirt turned brown. I was the dirtiest person in SMU, having to wring my darn tshirt dry after every single layout.
Haha, so enough of the layouts. Yesterday I had the most miserable game ever. It was one thing to be someone who cannot throw — I survived the past year and a half by being the one to look out for in the endzone. It was another thing to be confident enough now to be a handler, and literally having 90% of your throws going haywire. Almost everything I threw was either too far, too high, too off-centre, too everything. In a game where everyone let each other down somewhat with their individual mistakes, I felt I certainly punished the team a lot. Haha. Damn it lah. It was miserable. Come summer, I’ll stick to playing mid and deep lah. Haha.
