My mom is brilliant at her best of times, and horribly naggy during other times. This morning I woke up to find that my mom had found a use for the 5 NDP funpacks had acquired yesterday from the NDP preview. Now, you must understand, my initial out-take on this year’s design wasn’t good, because it simply wasn’t very useful as a bag. It makes use of zippers to create a modular system where you can adjust the width of the bag by adding/removing panels from it. The only problem with it is its functionality — besides the main compartment, there’s only one other pocket, a tiny one on the side.
Now, back to my mom. Well, two weeks ago my unit had a mobilisation exercise, so I had to prepare all my field pack items in case I get mobilised. In the end I didn’t, but I didn’t keep the items because I was lazy while my mom wanted to find a big enough bag to keep all the stuff. And just on cue, the funpacks arrived! Haha. We simply added an additional panel to two funpacks and there you go! =)
Which made me wonder anyway. Given the green movement we’ve had lately in terms of re-usable grocery bags, that should probably be the choice of funpack next year. Now that will really be pushing it. Haha.
