- See a doctor.
- Get well.
- Pretend I’m well.
Yep, every single time I fall ill, one thing never fails to happen. Nope, my mom doesn’t cover me in a blanket and pats me to sleep. Nope, my brother doesn’t offer his bed for me to sleep (long story short, prime real estate.) Nope, my aunts don’t fuss over me when they visit (but only because the weekend’s not here, so they don’t have a chance to visit.)
Yes. My grandparents, and primarily my grandma, will nag. And unlike when your mom nags, you can’t talk back. Haha. Yeah, my grandma simply can’t stand my get-well-soon regime — panadol, shower, and sleep. The panadol’s for the fever/headache, the shower for hygiene (I perspire buckets when I’m ill) and the sleep is just my part of my normal regime. It’s just the common cold, and the most important thing you need to have when you’re ill is rest, which of course I’m enforcing. But my grandma, well she can’t stand my nonchalant “睡多一点就行了啦!” and well the only person she believes would be the doctor. Good for her, but yeah, I just want my sleep, and I don’t want to spend. =) For the past 3 days, every single time I cross her path, she will be asking me to see the doctor. Hardly the best way to cure my headache, eh?
And thus:
- See a doctor.
- Get well.
- Pretend I’m well.
The only 3 ways I can have peace from my grandma.
