Well, according to Gavin I’m supposed to write nice things about today on my blog. I guess that’s what I will write. Haha. First, let’s go back to the past week. Haha, yeah school has started! Week 1 is as usual just surreal lah. Totally not in the mood to study haha. Monday was my Ethics class, and I was quite shocked, because I knew no one from the class lah! The only person I knew well enough was Ryan, and he just had to go drop the course. I guess the course requirements is a little hard lah, but haha it fits perfectly into my three-day week. Not much choice for me since bidding for another day wouldn’t guarantee me finding a group lah. Sian.

Visual design for marketing in the afternoon was great though. Haha. It covers exactly what I’ve been reading about the past 8 years. I’m quite sure there are a few people in my class who also have background knowledge, so I don’t think it’s going to be an easy course for me, but I guess I’m really interested in the sharing of knowledge. The big concern though would be that an alarmingly huge proportion of students don’t have PHotoshop skills, which places a lot of burden on people like me lah. Which means no slacking. But that’s during class though, because the great thing about this course is there isn’t much to do outside class time. =)

Tuesday and Wednesday are my free days (although there’s training on Wednesday afternoons lah) while Thursday is an accountancy double-header — Tax Planning and AIS. Tax planning is scary, or rather the fact that I can’t remember much of my Income Tax Act is. I really need to go study lah. Haha. AIS doesn’t seem to be a problem though. Another systems-centric course and I think my computing background should put me through.

Friday is when I have my advertising class. Jorg Dietzel is a really funny guy, and well the course is pretty interesting. That’s why I love marketing lah. Haha. I decided to present my 20%, 5-min long presentation next week though, and it’s a little stressful. I’m probably going to be the first person to present lah. So early in the school term, and such a major presentation. I hope I set a high enough standard then. Haha.

After advertising was CCA Day, and I must say the new exco has done a pretty good job. Saw the new discs, designed by Marc. Not my style, and could be improved, but nonetheless an interesting design. Well done! =) Watched Hairspray with Michelle and Chunyong, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It’s a great movie to watch to destress, and that’s why I say it should be watched in Week 15 after your final exams. Gets rid of post-exam blues immediately. Haha. Later we met up with David and Doreen to have dinner, and later on Joanna. Marketing group yet again. Michelle’s leaving tomorrow for Hong Kong. Some people just have all the fun lor. Oh well.

And so we come back to today. Had training of course, and yeah was greeted with a happy birthday song. Today’s training was quite a poor one. My handling just sucked at times. Defence was pretty fun though. I laid out around 6 times today lah. Even crashed into poor Joan. After training we went to J8 鼎泰丰 for makan, on the pretext of Justin’s farewell lunch. Yah, right. Haha. I only learned from Debbie later on that they meant to make it as if no one remembered my birthday was today. WTF?! Damn stupid lah. Received a Powerpuff Girls cake, and the team also got me two presents — a really nice Nike messenger bag (great taste, whoever chose it) as well as a white adidas jacket. I’m just scared I will dirty the jacket lah, knowing full well I will lie down on the floor in the GSR in my jacket to sleep in between classes. Haha.

So that wraps up the week, and I guess it has been a really good birthday. Not that I care much about them anyway. But it’s always to nice to know that friends do care. =) Thanks everyone!
