Creative Thinking My ASSistant

Posted 1/04/06 23:03 by fang under Life, School, Ultimate Frisbee.

Yeah, Saturday was spent in school. Again. Oh well. =) I was supposed to be at the Padang at 7.30am for this Inter-Secondary School Frisbee Competition, to help out Uncle Ra. For what, Xinkai never said. But the key thing isn’t about what I’m supposed to do, but that I’m supposed to be there at seven frigging am! Haha. I woke up at 7.40am though, and had to rush down. Was rushing like crazy because my Mom was in a rush, and my Dad was in a rush, but still for the love of father (who instructed them to drive his grandson to the Padang) they had to wait for me to wash up, pack my stuff, and have my breakfast all in 5 minutes. Of course, along the way I had to tahan my dad making jokes to his colleagues at the expense of me. I shall complain to the grandfather later.

Jerry and I didn’t do much at the Padang though. Haha. I guess Uncle Ra only needed some help just in case. So we ended up simply watching the kids play (they’re throwing is better than mine lah). It was fun, because they didn’t follow any of the tactical crap that we had to learn. It was just hucking the disc and waiting for this fat girl to catch it in the end-zone. Fat, but always at the right place, at the right time. Other than that we just threw discs to each other for a damn long time. Haha.

Later I went school for my BGS meeting. Was a short one, and we designated tasks to everyone. I guess the most exciting thing was that Jingyang and I would get to see the final video for our CT project! David is amazing I tell you. Marvellous, and I’m really thankful that he has spent so much time on the video. But the standard and quality of the video is simply brilliant lah. We all looked at the video in amazement at how every scene played a part in the video, and how every scene each had their own funny moments. For quite a pathetic module, I think we’ve put in too much effort for the video, but in terms of the intangibles and the fun we’ve had, I’m glad we did it. There’s a real sense of achievement, not in the final grade but in the quality of the acting and video done. And at least, I got to mix with Social Science girls. Haha.

Looking forward for Tuesday, the final CT lesson, as everyone presents their project. Like David said, if we’re the first to show our video, we will own the competition. Haha. Great job guys!
